I'll never forget Vicky and Michaels gorgeous New House Farm wedding. It was my first time visiting the Lake District and I instantly fell in love with the area.

Vicky and Michael both appreciate the outdoors, so choosing to marry in the Lake District surrounded by such scenic views didn’t come as a surprise. They adorned the Hayloft Barn with bunting handmade by Vicky and her hens and danced the night away to the Maniere Des Bohemiens band.

Lorton, Lake District

Being the outdoorsy type myself this wedding ticked all the boxes for me. The whole wedding was themed around being outside with nature, taking inspiration from their favourite book Watership Down.

Vicky and Micheal also made sure they left enough time in the wedding schedule to visit Crummock Water, which is only a short drive from New House Farm and was definitely worth the trip for those amazing views!

Eco-friendly Wedding

Vicky looked stunning in her Maggie Sottero dress and flower crown. I absolutely loved her laid-back bohemian style which suited the venue and location perfectly. She was super conscious when it came to choosing her details, selecting items that were sustainable and eco-friendly. She hand-made all the bridesmaid dresses and grew the flowers for her bouquet and flower crown in her parents' back garden.

The Hayloft Wedding Barn

Vicky and Micheal were married in the Hayloft Barn at New House Farm. The ceremony was relaxed yet emotional, with two beautiful readings and a very teary groom. Vickys very talented friend and bridesmaid played the some lovely folk music on her accordion too.

Drinks Reception at New House Farm

The weather was absolutely perfect and luckily the rain stayed away for the drinks reception on the lawn. Guests played coconut shy and skittles whilst sipping on pimms. One thing I love about New House Farm is they are Dog Friendly so wedding guests could bring along their pups. Dogs at weddings are just the best!

Wedding Photos at Crummock Water

Although New House Farm offers amazing views we decided to visit Crummock Water with the hope of catching a gorgeous sunset and I am so glad we did! If you have the time on your wedding day I would highly recommend taking some time away for just the two of you to take in all the magic that the lakes has to offer.
