Oaklands Wedding Venue Photographer
Jade and Jack were married in August at the awesome Oaklands Wedding Venue in Driffield. Both Jack and Jade wanted a laid back outdoor tipi wedding. Therefore, The Oaklands ticked all the right boxes.
The Oaklands have always been one of my favourite venues to photograph. I particularly love the large outdoor open space which is great for large wedding parties. Not to mention, Sophie and Gail who run the venue are just the loveliest people you could ever meet!
I loved Jack and Jades simple detailing throughout the teepee, choosing rustic touches with jam jars and gypsophila for their centrepieces. This particularly suited this outdoor wedding venue.
The day began at home, with Jade and her bridesmaids. We drank Prosecco in the garden and watched some throwback music videos on MTV. After a relaxing morning, Jades cute wedding transport arrived – a blue VW camper van! <3
Jade and Jack choose to have their service on the outdoor pavilion over looking the lake. I particularly love this area of the Oaklands, it totally adds something different to your wedding day.
After a confetti line to congratulate the new Mr and Mrs, guests mingled outside the teepee with a glass of fizz. During their drinks reception, we managed to head off for a few photographs around the lake, narrowly missing a rain shower. (eep!)
The weather definitely had it in for us in the afternoon and the heavens opened after their wedding breakfast. This didn’t stop them from dancing under the stars in the secret woodland dance floor though. (AH-mazing!)
