East Yorkshire Wedding Photographer
In July I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Hannah and Arul. Their wedding was a wonderful twist of vintage high tea meets the bright eccentric colours of India, taking inspiration from Aruls home country, Sri Lanka.
Hannah is definitely a creative soul, adding real sentiment to all of her details. Her bouquet consisted of beautiful sweet peas and peonies which Hannah grew herself prior to the big day, they smelt and looked amazing! Her beautiful lace wedding dress was the same dress her Grandma Stella married in 54 years ago, which was altered especially for Hannah to wear.
The day wouldn’t have been complete with out the Makara Morris Dancers which was a total surprise to all of their guests. After guests had enjoyed their high tea, which was presented on beautiful vintage cake, they all gathered outside for a lesson in Morris dancing. This topped off the quintessential English theme perfectly! They ended the day in style with an Indian themed evening, asking guests to dress in brightly coloured saris. It was great to see how Hannah and Arul combined both their home countries traditions within their wedding, organising a day that many of their guests will never forget. Congrats!
